Life’s Edges Are Where Things Get Better

I’ve been working on updating my website over the winter and while it’s a work in progress, it’s beginning to come together. One of my favorite sections is the Gratitude section where people share their thoughts after making something important to them, better. I have deep respect for the people who make a choice to commit their faith, time, and courage to creating desired change in their life. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as a guide and place of support for people’s dreams and desires for a better life. I invite you to take a look, people’s courage is really quite inspiring.

Often by the time someone seeks my help with a messy relationship, they feel helpless and/or hopeless to make things better. So the first focus of our time together is often to build up their faith in themselves and their muscles of courage needed for taking action. While we focus on the situation which motivated them to reach out for help, the skills they learn and their expanded self-confidence are useful for life going forward. We can’t eliminate life challenging us at times, but we can learn we are enough and have what is needed for meeting whatever challenges us.

When we hold ourselves back from fully living, from fully participating in what matters to us in life, we get stuck. We wonder why we feel bored, depressed, unhappy, why we have lost the passion in our relationships. It is in large part because we have not gone up to the edge of our problems. If you don’t get close enough to the edge of your life, you will remain stuck where you are. Yes, it can feel scary and risky to make different choices in your life. And, the experience of standing up for yourself and what you care about, is a game changer for how confident and happy you feel about yourself and in your life.

I’m starting up my podcast again and while doing so is a bit more messy than I thought, soon I’ll be resuming the podcast I started in 2009. In the meantime, I invite you to check out some of the past podcast episodes accessible on my website. ‘Can’t wait to begin recording podcasts again and I’ll let you know when the technical difficulties get resolved.

Off to enjoy some time in the sun and check out the crocuses popping up their beautiful selves. I hope this weekend includes your enjoying something that supports your well-being in some way. Don’t forget that I offer a Clarity Session, a free 45 minute phone session in which to share what you are seeking to make better with my thoughts on such. And if you know someone who might benefit from this as well, please do pass this on to them as well. Thank you.
